Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), one of the leading group companies of IndianOil’s, was conceived in 1960s as a 2.5 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) refinery designed to produce fuels and lubes base stock. At CPCL, the past five decades have an eventful, growth-oriented phase as the CPCL family built the organisation to reach the present stature of 10.5 MMTPA capacity.

Today, CPCL stands tall among the public-sector refining companies in India, with one of the most complex refineries of its kind in the country, producing an array of value-added petroleum products. Qualification :-

Jr. Engg. Assistant -IV (Production) Trainee – CPCL01:

  • 3 years Diploma in Chemical / Petroleum /Petrochemical Engineering / Tech. or
  • B.Sc. with Chemistry as a major subject from a recognized Institute /University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General /OBC / EWS candidates & 55% in case of SC / ST candidates against reserved positions.

Jr. Engg. Assistant -IV (Production) cat. 1- CPCL02:

  • 3 years Diploma in Chemical / Petroleum /Petrochemical Engineering / Tech. or
  • B.Sc. with Chemistry as a major subject from a recognized Institute /University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General /OBC / EWS candidates & 55% in case of SC / ST candidates against reserved positions.
  • Minimum one year of relevant post qualification work experience.

Jr. Engg. Assistant -IV (Production) cat. 2- CPCL03:

  • 3 years Diploma in Chemical / Petroleum /Petrochemical Engineering / Tech. or
  • B.Sc. with Chemistry as a major subject from a recognized Institute /University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General /OBC / EWS candidates & 55% in case of SC / ST candidates against reserved positions.
  • Minimum three years of relevant post qualification work experience.

Jr. Quality Control Analyst -IV (QC) Trainee- CPCL04:

  • B.Sc. with Chemistry as a major subject with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General/ EWS candidates.

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (Mech) Trainee- CPCL05:

  • 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognized Institute/ University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General/ OBC / EWS candidates & 55% in case of SC / PwBD candidates against reserved positions.

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (Mech) Cat. 1- CPCL06:

  • 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognized Institute/ University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General/ OBC / EWS candidates & 55% in case of SC / PwBD candidates against reserved positions.
  • Minimum one year of relevant post qualification work experience

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (Mech) Cat. 2- CPCL07:

  • 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognized Institute/ University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General/ OBC / EWS candidates & 55% in case of SC / PwBD candidates against reserved positions.
  • Minimum Three years of relevant post qualification work experience.

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (Elect.) Trainee- CPCL08:

  • 3 years Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering from recognized Institute/ University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General/ OBC / EWS candidates & 55% in case of SC /PwBD candidates against reserved positions.

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (Elect.) Cat. 1- CPCL09:

  • 3 years Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering from recognized Institute/ University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General/ OBC / EWS candidates & 55% in case of SC /PwBD candidates against reserved positions.
  • Minimum one year of relevant post qualification Work experience.

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (Elect.) Cat. 2- CPCL10:

  • 3 years Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering from recognized Institute/ University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General/ OBC / EWS candidates & 55% in case of SC /PwBD candidates against reserved positions.
  • Minimum Three years of relevant post qualification Work experience.

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (Inst.) Trainee- CPCL11:

  • 3 years Diploma in Instrumentation /Instrumentation & Electronics /Instrumentation & Control/ Electronics & Communication from a recognized Institute /University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General /OBC / EWS candidates & 55% in case of SC candidates against reserved positions.

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (Inst.) Cat. 1- CPCL12:

  • 3 years Diploma in Instrumentation /Instrumentation & Electronics /Instrumentation & Control/ Electronics & Communication from a recognized Institute /University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General /OBC / EWS candidates & 55% in case of SC candidates against reserved positions.
  • Minimum one year of relevant post qualification work experience.

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (P&U-Mech) Cat. 1- CPCL13:

  • 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognized Institute/ University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General/ OBC candidates
  • Minimum one year of relevant post qualification work experience.

Jr. Engg. Asstt-IV (PRU-Elec) Cat. 1- CPCL14:

  • 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized Institute/ University with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for General/ OBC candidates.
  • Minimum one year of relevant post qualification work experience.

Jr. Tech. Asstt-IV (F&S) Trainee- CPCL15:

  • Matric (Class X) plus Sub-Officers’ Course from NFSC-Nagpur or Equivalent (Regular Course) from any other recognized institute with Heavy Vehicle Driving License.

Jr. Tech. Asstt-IV (F&S) Cat. 1- CPCL16:

  • Matric (Class X) plus Sub-Officers’ Course from NFSC-Nagpur or Equivalent (Regular Course) from any other recognized institute with Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
  • Minimum one year of post-qualification experience.

Selection Process :-

  • The selection methodology will comprise an Online Test and a Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT) followed by verification of certificates of the shortlisted candidates. The SPPT will be of a qualifying nature.

  • General, EWS and OBC candidates: Rs.500/-
  • SC /ST / PwBD / ExSM / Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
