INDIAN PORT RAIL & ROPEWAY CORPORATION LIMITED (IPRCL) is a first of its kind Joint Venture Company (JVC) between 11 Major Ports under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (Formerly Ministry of Shipping) holding 90% of equity capital and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) under Ministry of Railways holding
10% of equity capital, incorporated with the objective to provide efficient rail evacuation systems to Major Ports and for enhancing their capacity and throughput. The company was registered on 10th July,2015 as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 2013. The Company is under Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (Formerly Ministry of Shipping), Government of India.

Stipend :-
- Graduate Apprentice: Rs 10,000/-
- Diploma Apprentices: Rs 8,000/-
Qualification :-
Graduate/Diploma Apprentices:
- At least 60% in aggregate of all years & semesters in Degree/Diploma in Engineering granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline. 55% in aggregate of all years & semesters in Degree/Diploma in Engineering for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
- Disciplines: Civil/Electrical/Mechanical
- Note: Candidates who have passed out Degree/Diploma in Engineering (in respective trade) on or after 01.01.2021 will only be eligible to apply.

Selection Process :-
- The selection process is based on merit.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines and a Merit List will be prepared.
