Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC) was set-up by the University Grants Commission as the first Inter-University Centre (IUC) called Nuclear Science Centre after due approval of the Planning Commission and the Prime Minister in October, 1984.

Its construction started in December, 1986 and completed in time on December 19, 1990. The basic objective of Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC) is to provide front ranking accelerator based research facilities to create possibilities for internationally competitive research within the university system.

Positions :- Graduate/Diploma/ITI Apprentice

Job Location :- New Delhi

Stipend :-

• Graduate Apprentices: Rs.9000/month
• Diploma Apprentices: Rs.8000/month
• ITI Apprentices: For ITI Apprentice(Electronic Mechanic) & ITI Apprentice(Machinist) – Rs.8050/month;
• ITI Apprentice (Welder) – Rs.7,700/month.

Qualification :-

Graduate Apprentices:

• Graduate Apprentice (Electronics): Candidate should complete B.E. in Engineering in Electronics/Electronics and Communication /Electronics and Telecommunication with minimum 55% marks
• Graduate Apprentice (Instrumentation): Candidate should complete B.E. in Engineering in Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Control/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electrical & Instrumentation/ Electronics with minimum 55% marks.
• Graduate Apprentice (Applied Geology): Candidate should complete B.E. in Science in with Geology/ Applied Geology as subject with minimum 55% marks.
• Graduate Apprentice (Material Science and Technology): Candidate should complete B.E. in Science in Physics/ Applied Physics with minimum 55% marks.
• Graduate Apprentice (Nuclear Science and Technology): Candidate should complete B.E. in Science in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Nuclear Physics with minimum 55% marks.
• Graduate Apprentice (Accounts and Audit): Candidate should complete B.E. in Commerce or Economics or Arts with Commerce with Accounts and Audit as subject with minimum 55% marks.

Diploma Apprentices:

• Diploma Apprentice (Electronics): Candidate should complete diploma in Electronic Engineering with minimum 55% marks.
• Diploma Apprentice (Mechanical): Candidate should complete diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/ Production/ Production & Industrial Manufacturing with minimum 55% marks.

ITI Apprentices:

• ITI Apprentice (Electronic Mechanic) & ITI Apprentice (Machinist): Candidate should complete 2 years ITI certificate holder in the Electronics Mechanic Trade with minimum 55% marks.
• ITI Apprentice (Welder): Candidate should complete 1 year ITI certificate holder in Welder Trade with minimum 55% marks

Note :- 

• Candidates who have passed out in the year 2020, 2021 & 2022 are eligible to apply for the post. However, Engineering graduates or diploma holders who have already undergone training or having job experience for a period of one year or more shall not be eligible.

• ITI Apprentice (Welder) – 1 Post

Age Limit (as on 31 March 2023) :-

• Graduate Apprentices: 18 – 30 years.
• Diploma Apprentices: 17 – 30 years.
• ITI Apprentices: 15 – 30 years.

Age Relaxation:  

The upper age relaxation for Graduate/Diploma/ITI Apprentices: 

• SC/ST – 5 years
• OBC – 3 years
• Pwd – 10 years

Selection Process :-

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection process. The date, time and the mode of selection will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates through email. Shortlisted candidates have to produce his/her original certificates at the time of selection process.
