NTECL is a 50:50 Joint Venture Company formed between NTPC and Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Company Ltd (TANGEDCO). Vallur Thermal Power Station (VTPS) with a capacity of 1500 MW (3 Units of 500 MW), sole power plant of NTECL is situated at Vallur village of Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur Dist of Tamilnadu.

The power plant was established under the mega power project policy of the central government. 70 per cent power from this station is supplied to Tamil Nadu and the rest to neighboring states like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana and Pondicherry. This plant is acclaimed to be the first 500MW unit set up then in Tamilnadu.

• The candidates should possess B.E/B.Tech/Diploma in in Electrical, Mechanical, C&I, ECE etc

Non – Graduate Apprentices : 

• The candidates should possess B.Sc/BCA/BBA/B.Com/BA

Note :- Passed out of college in the past three years
