Qualification :-

Junior Engineer (Civil),
Border Roads Organization, Ministry of Defence :

  • Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute or (a) Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute/ Board; and (b) Two years working experience in Planning/ Execution/ Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.

Junior Engineer (Electrical &
Mechanical), Border Roads Organization, Ministry of Defence :

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute; or (a) Three years Diploma in Electrical/ Automobile/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute/ Board; and (b) Two years experience in Planning/ Execution/ Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.

Junior Engineer (Civil), CPWD :

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Junior Engineer (Electrical), CPWD :

  • Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Junior Engineer (Civil), Central Water Power Research Station : 

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute.

Selection Process :-

  • The Selection Process is based on the Examination, followed by document verification.
  • The Examination consists of Paper-I & Paper-II (Computer Based Examination and written examination).

SSC JE Exam Pattern 2022 :-

Paper-I(Objective Type): Computer Base Mode:

  • Paper-I will be conducted in computer-based mode with a total of 200 marks.
  • The SSC JE Question paper will be set General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering (Civil & Structural, Electrical, Mechanical).
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.
  • Candidates are not allowed to bring their own Slide–Rule, Calculator, Logarithm Tables
    and Steam Table for Paper-I.

Paper-II (Conventional Type ): Written Examination

  • The written exam will be conducted for 300 marks in General Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Structural & Electrical).
  • The total duration of the written exam will be 2 Hours.
  • Candidates are allowed to bring their own Slide–Rule, Calculator, Logarithm Tables and Steam Table for Paper-II only.
