The West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited is a company wholly owned and controlled by the Government of West Bengal with the goal to carry on the

business of thermal power generation in the state of West Bengal, India. WBPDCL works in tan­dem with West Ben­gal State Elec­tric­ity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) and Cal­cutta Elec­tric Sup­ply Cor­po­ra­tion (CESC).

Positions :- Graduate & Diploma Apprentice

Job Location :- West Bengal

Stipend :-

• Graduate Apprentice – Rs.9000/-
• Diploma Apprentice – Rs.8000/-

Qualification :-

Graduate Apprentice :

• Graduate Degree (04) years full time course) in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation/ Mining from any institute recognized by the AICTE.

Technician Apprentice :

• Diploma (03 years full time course) in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation from any institute recognized by the AICTE or from any institute recognized by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.

Age Limit (as on 01.06.2022) :-

• Graduate Apprentice : 18 – 25 years
• Diploma Apprentice : 18 – 24 years

Total Vacancies :-

Graduate Apprentice : 

• Mechanical – 12 Posts
• Electrical – 10 Posts
• Instrumentation / Electronics – 05 Posts
• Mining – 03 Posts

Diploma Apprentice :

• Mechanical – 13 Posts
• Electrical – 10 Posts
• Instrumentation / Electronics – 07 Posts

Selection Process :- 

• Candidates shall be called for Personal Interview (PI) based on percentage of marks achieved in Degree/ Diploma Engineering @ 1:5 ratio taking into consideration the respective reservation norms.
